There is a big Jazz presence here in Hawaii with Dave Koz, David Benoit and many other big name artist frequenting the venues out here. Does John have Hawaii on his schedule in the near future? Or Would John be interested in coming out here for a show and to enjoy the Islands? There is also a huge military population out here, I think, given John's connection to his fellow brothers in arms it would be awesome to see him out here on a USO event. I am a huge fan. Having lived here all of my life, I thought I knew what New Orleans and its music were about, alas I did not. I must admit, I'd never heard of you until Treme. i had never heard of you until i started watching treme. well now i am hooked. i love your voice and your music. my husband and i used to be truck drivers and my first trip to louisiana had me hooked. the culture the vibe the food. lord the food.i love it all. we actually made some really good friends in our travels but recently found out they died in katrina. but i will never forget the wonderful people we met down there and the beauty of the area.so when i first watched treme it took me back to the the place i have in my memory.such a great place. we hope to stop in for a few days next year. we miss the vibe. take care of yourself mr boutte you have a new fan.

I listen to WWOZ at work every day, all day,and as much as I love the music, it pretty much stays in the background until I hear the unmistakable voice of John Boutte. Then the volumn goes up and everything stops. I recently saw him at dba and was mesmerized again. What a beautiful voice.
