This is a re-release John's most recent solo album from 1999. This gorgeous album featuring John's show-stopping Gospel favorite, "Battle Hymn of the Republic" and a refreshing samba rendition of Luiz Bonfa's "Black Orpheus". And a crowd favorite, the lovely "A Change is Gonna Come" by Sam Cooke. Also hear John's original songs inspired by his life in New Orleans, "Sisters", and of course, "At the Foot of Canal Street" written with Paul Sanchez from Cowboymouth. Friends (1998)
Bellinzona Switzerland's own Gilliet family, who have been friends with the Boutte's for over 15 years put together this album with John in Switzerland. John Boutte' on vocals, Nicholas Gilliet on drums and his brother Michel on piano. This is an excellent tribute to traditional Jazz favorites, including"That's my Desire", "When My Dreamboat Comes Home" and others including a beautiful cover of Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely".

A beautiful album with John on vocals and Glenn Patscha on piano. The two work like a well-oiled machine, they make the classic "Scotch and Soda" their own. It is reminescent of the lounge days of Jazz, when the Blue Room at the Fairmont Hotel was open and you could see Billie Holiday performing live.
